Three Architecture
From its founding in 1983, three architecture had established itself as one of the premier boutique architecture design firms in the hospitality and senior living industries. three projects consistently rank at the top of Conde Nast Traveler’s Top 100 Hotels and Travel+Leisure’s World’s Best Hotels. Designs of note: The Peninsula and L’Ermitage, Beverly Hills, Willow Stream Spa at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, Arizona, Hotel Palomar in Dallas, and The Fairmont Mayakoba in the Riviera Maya, Mexico.
The Project
Despite the eminence and quality of its work, the firm had not received the level of recognition it deserved. three’s reputation had been built solely via word-of-mouth, but now wanted Brynn Bagot Public Relations to help elevate its name recognition, especially within the industry to potential developers and also to saturate the hospitality and senior living industries with the firm’s name and projects.
Our Strategy
BBPR gathered information on each property and established relationships with other professionals involved in each project (interior designers, developers, property owners and managers, et al). We drafted press releases and distributed to media to announce three’s involvement, design details, status and other relevant information on each project.
We also initiated speaking opportunities for three’s principals at conferences and scheduled meetings with key media attending these conferences in order to establish first-name familiarity among influential editors and writers and three’s designers. Our goal was to position three top of mind with key media and keep the press current on three’s existing and pending projects.
BBPR monitored publication design awards and collaborated with other design teams to identify and submit properties for consideration for these awards.
Results
After our first year working with three, the firm increased its name recognition in the Dallas market as well as with colleagues and developers nationally and internationally. three also experienced a boost in new business opportunities resulting from the increased exposure and media attention in, among others: Boutique Design, Hospitality Design, Dallas Business Journal, AIArchitect, Architectural Products, Hotel Design and HOTELS.
three and one of its senior living projects was also featured on NBC Nightly News and in The Dallas Morning News and People Newspapers.
